Hybrid would make it heavy, unless ....

... they put in an extremely lightweight engine like a turbocharged 3 cilinder. That shouldn't be a big issue as BMW already made a fun car like this ... remember the i8 with the 1.5 ? I guess weight would go up by at least 100 kilo's :-( .... so maybe th

i8 or watch. Which one is cooler?

Both are good for the environment! Patek's watch is selling out. Everybody is calling their jewelry store to say, "I want one" or "put me on the list." And one person even (half jokingly) said, "take my first born or second born as payment!" Even if today

Nice turnout of a small town Coffee and Cars

Finally the weather is less wet and the local groups are able to organize the gathering. It is good to see all ranges of automobiles and automotive fans. Enjoy and Happy long weekend if you celebrate 4th of July. No surprise there are not many watch fans

A Toy Car isn't a fair thing...

Overall I agree with you, except on the toy car analogy. But let's say this... Let's say Aston Martin or Bentley (Bentley makes the cars in the books, Aston in the movies) made a car for $60,000 and it looked like a normal Aston Martin or Bentley. Sure, i

First European trip after 3 years...Warning, photo overload!

Last time I visited was Jan 2019 to SIHH. Since then, I do travel within US and once to Mayakoba during the pandemic but due to many restrictions and uncertainties, I held off Europe till Feb 2022 when I finally had the chance to visit Germany. This was a

Thanks for your kind words…

I’m also at a point where I don’t chase or request a lot of new watches, unless it’s a complication that I really like, eg. a Perpetual Calendar (surprised!) and an end game PCC grand complication. The reason I hesitated because I only need one and still

Isn’t Lamborghini going all electric by 2030 production?

So glad we have so many Good Samaritan trying to save the Earth, wink wink…. I probably cannot live to see how these efforts will help but I know nature will balance out on its own….I frankly don’t trust the “visionaries” who said this will be the result

Blue Noir

Both discontinued with the i8 last 18 rolled off this June with 18 different custom colors. Having owned it since Sep 2015, the i8 still feels very modern and futuristic in terms of design. I wished it had more power and range though. Also noticed both ha

The end of the i8

FRANKFURT / AUTOMOTIVE NEWS -- Painted in Portimao Blue, the last BMW i8 rolled off the assembly line at the automaker’s plant in Leipzig, Germany, earlier this month, ending the plug-in hybrid sports car\'s production run after six years and 20,500 vehic

Beautiful line up and nothing wrong with German engineering 😉...

I am a BIG fan of the Taycan as well from what I have read and seen. Of course we will need to see how it turns out after a bit of time but Porsche has a history of making amazing cars so I have little doubt it will be an amazing addition to their lineup.
